Presently we have 192 students with HI are studying happily. Here, in this program we have sufficient infrastructure to all respective classes and using total communication for the benefit of deaf students to get clarify from the teaching of various concepts.

Sushravya Pre-primary School for Oral Deaf Education (Mother Care Centre)

It is specialised School in North Karnataka. It is only one centre to provide and implemented oral deaf education to the deaf child at early age in the North Karnataka. We reached 40 parents and their children have finished this education and studying in the Normal schools. The other benefit of this education program is developing mother as a resourceful teacher, through this method we are providing education which helps them to speak and share individual feelings in front of other mother. This is three year education for the early detected child, both child and mother have to be stay in the campus, if the child detected at the age of three to six month is the right time for improve the speech and developing the hearing capacity. To develop hearing capacity we provide speech therapy, experimental teaching, one to one teaching, exchanging child to other mother and also providing hearing aids.

Early Intervention & Early Education

This is for the delay development children of 0-6 years where all service will be given in the community based. This is specialized programme for newly born babies/children in the working area. The programme is efficient for those who detected early and get early benefitted. We undergone the screening process for early identification of children, those who identified through screening, assess the child for appliance and therapy and follow up for the same. Early education is the unique program for the disables who left or who perceive the education in the school. Mainly it educates the basic requirements for their day to day disability management and creating awareness about various schemes from the government and other organization.

Livelihood program

Livelihood program is for the adults with the age of 18+ and the program is supported by Enable India, Bangalore. It is a Centre where we connect with companies and the differently able people to create opportunities for livelihood. Where we provide skills to differently able people and place them job to the companies. It is a pilot project where BDT needs to learn and experiment more in this space. SWASHAKTI aims at providing rural livelihoods for persons with disability (PWDs) in the state of Karnataka. This campaign fosters ownership and collaboration among disability NGOs and other stakeholders working at a Gross-root level promoting further collaborations to ensure growth and sustainability. The district saturation model helps to deepen the work in reaching out to people with different disabilities in that region based on the results in this and the next year. The finalized model can be further ready to replicate to other regions in the state/country.
